Sean Haberthier of Denver died instantly while skiing at Breckenridge, Colorado, on Jan. 12, 2017. He was 47.

He attended school in Powell, and received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wyoming in Laramie and a master’s degree in finance from Colorado University in Denver.

After college, he, Tony and Stan started a construction company in Denver.

Sean leaves many friends, co-workers and skiers with memories of his loyalty, hard work, skill and determination.

He lived to ski, beginning in his early youth on the slopes of Red Lodge and Sleeping Giant. Everyone who knew this fun-loving, soft-spoken, caring and determined man will miss him dearly.

Sean is survived by his mother Dinah of Rockvale, Colorado; brother Tony (Jayne) Haberthier of Westminster, Colorado, and sister Debra (Greg) Wood of Billings and Arizona.

Services are pending with a celebration of life planned on top of his beloved mountains at Breckenridge.
