A Thursday morning rock slide has blocked the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 14/16/20 west of Cody.
Wyoming Department of Transportation maintenance workers are responding to the scene.
"We are currently mobilizing equipment to clean up the area. There will be delays through the area while the cleanup effort is under way," WYDOT maintenance engineer Lyle Lamb of Basin said in a midday news release. "We expect both lanes of the roadway will be reopened to traffic later today."
The rock slide, which also damaged the guardrail along the highway, is located just east of the tunnels outside of Cody.
WYDOT said the slide has no connection to rockfall mitigation work that took place on the other, western side of the three tunnels. That work wrapped up in the fall.
