Juanita June Bell, 88, of Cody, died at Spirit Mountain Hospice House on July 13, 2016.

June was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was born June 7, 1928, in Kewanee, Illinois, to Charles and Elsa Anthony. June married Phil Bell Sept. 19, 1946, in Reserve, New Mexico.

June was a Cody resident since 1984, and a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

She was an accomplished artist, and loved to paint Southwestern scenes. She was not happy being idle, which resulted in so many beautiful items created from her sewing and needlework. She made the best cherry pie this side of heaven. June had a huge, compassionate heart for animals.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Phil Bell; children Cindy (George) Ramsey of Frankston, Texas and Matt (Priscilla) Bell of Cody; grandchildren Brett (Kristie) Ramsey of Omaha, Nebraska, and Derek (Jamie) Ramsey of Fort Worth, Texas; and great-grandchildren Will and Faith Ramsey of Omaha, and another one on the way in  Fort Worth.

She was loved very much, and will be missed. But after she suffered many years with Alzheimer’s, her family celebrates that she is in heaven, healthy and free with Jesus.

Memorial services were at Christ the King Lutheran Church on Monday, July 18. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to Spirit Mountain Hospice House, 808 Canyon View Avenue, Cody, WY 82414, or the Park County Animal Shelter, 5537 Greybull Highway, Cody, WY 82414.

Services were entrusted to Ballard Funeral Home. An online memorial is available at www.ballardfh.com.
