Jason Paul Blount passed away in Loveland, Colorado after a struggle with reoccurring illness of pneumonia, heart problems, and leukemia.
Jason was born on Oct. 1, 1983 in Powell. He loved spending time with his kids. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping with his kids and friends. He got great satisfaction from his job as a painter, and he enjoyed a great barbecue, making his famous jalapeños burgers and ribs. He was also a big fan of the Raiders.
He leaves behind his three children: Kane, Temperance, and Kingston; father Ken Blount, mother Susie Hernandez, sister Marina Blount; two nieces, Aubrey and Karlee; stepfather Rick Vertz, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and many friends, whom he considered his second family.
A rosary will be held in his honor on Thursday, March 7, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church 115 E. Third Street in Powell. His funeral will be held at St. Barbara’s on Friday, March 8 at 2 p.m.
