On Thursday afternoon in Worland, the Powell High School track team picked up three more qualifiers for the Class 3A state meet — Sabrina Shoopman, Brody Karhu and Nate MaGill.

Family, friends, coaches and staff of Powell High School came together last week to celebrate a pair of Powell High School seniors who will be moving on to play college sports.

The Northwest College rodeo team started the second half of its season with the men’s team winning a pair of rodeos and two Trappers — Caleb McMillan and Bubba Boots — winning all-around.

An injury-riddled Lady Panther soccer team suffered some more injuries over the weekend, but battled to a 2-2 record at Southwest Invitational in Green River.

A half-dozen Panther discus throwers crammed the leaderboard by filling six of the top nine spots to headline a successful Saturday at the L.A. Kohnke Invitational.

Powell High School’s boys soccer team picked up a couple of wins and a couple losses at a Friday-Saturday tournament in Worland.

Powell High School is looking for new leaders for the boys and girls swim teams after the departure of three coaches. A couple other assistant positions are also available in football and girls basketball.

Powell High School’s Lady Panther soccer team prevailed in overtime 3-2 against Riverton on Saturday.

Both the Powell High School and Powell Middle School track teams competed in Cody last weekend — and both teams saw success.
