When visiting a foreign destination, it’s good to know basic guidelines about staying safe — especially when the place is full of boiling hot springs and wild bison.

It’s the height of summer, and for many, life seems pretty carefree.

Seemingly straight from the pages of George Orwell’s “1984,” the bill  H.R. 5606 — also known as the “Anti-terrorism Information Sharing Is Strength Act” — was introduced to the U.S. House on June 28 and narrowly voted down on July 11. 

Thumbs up to a candidate forum that will take place in Powell next week. 

It’s been an incredibly difficult week for America — one filled with violence and heartache.

Summer is full of outdoor recreation opportunities, from hiking and camping to swimming and fishing; there’s something for everyone to enjoy. However beautiful our outdoor scenery may be, it can turn ugly and dangerous quickly, so we urge everyone to exercise caution and be prepared for any emergencies that could occur.

People want to vote in the presidential election.

The official voting records are unequivocal on that subject. The same records are a little puzzling on what it takes to motivate the electorate to go to the polls at other times.

As Old Glory displays its stars and stripes at Independence Day celebrations, it’s important for Wyomingites to also pay attention to another flag during the holiday: A red flag warning for fire danger.

Deer carcasses lying along the side of the road may prompt driver caution, but they aren’t posted there as warning signs.

In today’s edition of the Powell Tribune we pay tribute to our four-legged family members. Whether it’s dogs, cats and horses or something more exotic, pets have a major impact on the lives of their owners.
