Kirsten Annette Jackson died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, surrounded by her family, after a courageous year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born July 10, 1952, to Leslie W. and Patricia A. Cline in Scottsbluff, Neb. She moved with her family to Lovell in 1957 where she attended Lovell schools and graduated in 1970. She attended Northwest Community College from 1970-1971.

On June 2, 1973, Kirsten married Stephen R. Jackson at the First Baptist Church of Powell, and together they had four children. She spent the early part of her married life raising their children at home.

In the early '90s, Kirsten entered the working field where she started to develop many friendships. In 1994, she took a job as a paraprofessional with Park County School District No. 1. She worked with the district for 19 years, and she touched the lives of many children and co-workers over the years.

Kirsten enjoyed simple things in life including crafts, working in her yard and taking care of friends and family. Nothing was more important to her than spending time with her family. The majority of her spare time was spent with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She will  be remembered in the hearts of many for her loving care, friendliness, beautiful smile, love for the color red and for the time she spent with her family, who will remember her as “Nana.”

She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Anthony Jackson; father Leslie Warren Cline; mother-in-law Alberta Bernice Jackson; and brother-in-law Stan Lee Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen R. Jackson, of Powell; mother Patricia A. Cline of Powell; brother Gary Cline (Linda) of Lovell; brother Sanford Cline (JoEllen) of Powell; daughter Stephanie A. Warren (John) of Powell; son Todd S. Jackson (Laura) of Cody; daughter Kayla A. Sullivan (Brandon) of Powell;  four grandchildren Kyler and Korbyn Warren, Averi Jackson and Peyton Sullivan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services have taken place at First Baptist Church in Powell. Memorial donation in Kirsten’s name may be made to First National Bank P.O. Box 907 Powell, WY 82435 or at any local bank branch.
