Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 6 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church for Agnes F. Winz, 85, of Powell, who died Saturday, March 1 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Mont.
She was born April 21, 1922, in Bridger, Mont., daughter of Frank Thomas and Frances (Schwan) Thomas. She attended country school in Bridger. On July 29, 1950, she married Winfred (Sie) Winz at Fromberg, Mont.
Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Powell. She was a homemaker, and the love of her life was taking care of her family.
She was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and puzzle books.
Survivors include two sons, Frank and Thomas Winz, both of Powell; a sister, Dorothy George of Bridger; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Leo and George; and a sister, Katherine Thomas.
Father Glen Szezechowski will officiate at services and burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, with arrangements by Thompson Funeral Home.
A 6:15 p.m. vigil is scheduled Wednesday, March 5 at St. Barbara’s.
