Erma Elizabeth Shupak

Erma Shupak died Tuesday, Dec. 5 at her daughter's home in Laurel, Mont.

She was born Feb. 9, 1922 in Elk Basin, daughter of Daniel E. Sanford and Juanita Wymer Sanford. She attended school in Elk Basin and Greybull.

She married Charles R. Shupak, Aug 2, 1946, in Billings, making their home near Bridger, Ryegate, Cut Bank and Laurel, ont., and Yuma, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Juanita Sanford, stepfather Clark Kindler, brother Robert Sanford and granddaughter Brenda Marie Shupak.

She is survived by her stepmothe, Winnie Kindler; sisters, Thelma Galac and Donna Brasher; one son, Dennis and wife Donna; daughter, Deanna Kaul and husband Robert; daughter Terry Walsh and husband James and daughter Chris Coutts and husband Carl.

She was blessed with nine immediate grandchildren and many special great-grandchildren and grandma Erma’s extended grandchildren. There are nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, but are held close to our hearts.

We, the family of Erma, would also like to make special mention of adopted daughter, Patty Klaassen and family and special friend Betty Steinmetz.

Erma lived an exciting and adventurous life and was loved by many. At her time of passing she was surrounded by her children in Laurel.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services were held Monday, Dec. 11 at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. Inurnment will be in the Bridger Cemetery.
