Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Casper for Lindy Charles McPherson, formerly of Powell, who died Sunday, July 8 from complications of diabetes. He was 73.

He was born Aug. 19, 1927, to John Emery and Bessie Shepherd McPherson in Leavenworth, Kans. He attended Powell schools and was graduated from Powell High School in 1947.

He married Patricia Keller on June 17, 1950, in Billings, Mont. He worked for Oilwell Supply for 33 years.

He coached Little League Baseball in Powell and is Past Exalted Ruler of the Powell Elks Lodge and a lifetime member of Elks. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, camping and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include the true love of his life for 51 years, Pat McPherson; two sons, Mike McPherson and wife Vicky of Yakima, Wash., and W.A. Jerry McPherson and wife Bonnie of Casper; one daughter, Kelly Muecke and husband Cy of Powell; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Fitch King; a sister, Margaret Gimmeson; and a brother, Joe McPherson.

Cremation has taken place.
