Ronald V. Christensen, 67, of Manzanita, Ore., died in an automobile accident Sunday, April 22 near Evanston, Wyo.

Ron, as everyone called him, was born in Cowley on Dec. 20, 1933, to Clyde Victor Christensen and Charlcie Elva Cooley. He was a graduate of Cowley High School and the University of Wyoming with a degree in electrical engineering.

He married Margaret Rose Woolrich in Superior, Wyo., on September 2, 1956. To this union were born four children: Eric, Clyde, Lisa and Michael.

Mr. Christensen worked primarily in the paper industry for Zee, Crownzellerbaugh and Gaylord paper manufacturers. He managed paper mills and traveled extensively for these companies domestically and overseas.

He and his wife, Peggy, retired to Manzanita, Ore., and built a beautiful home on the ocean. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

He enjoyed taking walks on the beach and playing on the computer with his grandchildren. He was a born teacher and loved to watch and help young people learn.

He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting with his sons and father in the mountains of his youth.

Survivors include his wife Peggy; three sons, Eric Christensen and wife Elizabeth of Farmington, Utah, Clyde Christensen and wife Julie of Boulder Creek Calif., and Michael Christensen of California; one daughter, Lisa Bumanlag and husband Michael of Stockton, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Frame and husband Tom of Frenchtown, Mont., Susannah Hansen and husband Gorden of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sherron Muller and husband Orin of Red Lodge, Mont.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services are pending in Manzanita, Ore.
