Clara Amanda Brown, 82, died at the Powell Nursing Home on Dec. 16, 2000.
She was born in Minot, N.D., on Oct. 31, 1918 to Anthony and Clara (Lippman) Wegener. On Dec. 4, 1937 she and James Wilson Brown were married. They lived in several places, settling in Powell in 1976. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Delbert Brown of Casper; daughter Beverly James of Powell; brother Charles Wegener of McCook, Neb., grandchildren Linda Brown, Tyler James, Nona Conners, Todd James, Jeannie Miller and Laura Brown; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband James "Slim" Brown, son Delwyn, son-in-law Mikes James and daughter-in-law Ann Brown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Buffalo with the Rev. Keith McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
