Mona Rae Fedrizzi, 93, passed away Feb. 6, 2018, at Thermopolis Rehabilitation & Care Center in Thermopolis.

She was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Powell, to Harvey L. and Clara (Nelson) Waggener.

Mona Rae married L.R. (Rat) Fedrizzi on Sept. 22, 1952, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked for Hughes Tool Company and Rocky Mountain Rental Tool, and they lived in many towns throughout the Rocky Mountain Region including Vernal, Utah; Sterling, Colorado; Williston, North Dakota; Rock Springs, Wyoming; Craig, Colorado; Casper, Wyoming; and Thermopolis, Wyoming.

During World War II, she worked for Civil Service at the Lemore, California Army Air Field, a basic training school for pilots.

Mona Rae and her husband especially enjoyed traveling and camping, spending several winters in Arizona in their camper. She loved her family, friends, and life, especially in Wyoming.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friends Jim and Carol Larson. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, L.N. Waggener Sr., and her husband in 1991.

Graveside services will be Friday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.

Cremation has taken place. Private arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home with burial in the family plot at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorials made be made to the donor’s choice.

Mona Rae hoped that she will be remembered with a prayer and a smile.
