Bill attended Clinton Grammar School, South Orange New Jersey, and Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey.
He graduated from Hampton Du Bose Academy, in Zellwood, Florida, in 1955. After graduating high school, while working for Jon Engle Horn & Son, Newark, New Jersey, he attended classes studying accounting at Fairly Dickenson University.
He met Martha Paul, a senior at Barrington College, Rhode Island, in 1957. They were married in June 1958 and celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Bill loved to play his violin and used his musical talent on many occasions especially in church and for eight years in Bermuda and then in Florida and Wyoming. He will be forever remembered for his kindness and generosity to everyone.
He is survived by his wife Martha; two sons, Bill and Kirk and their families; sister Phyllis; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Living in Clark was the highlight of his life. He met many people there who quickly became his friends. He enjoyed ranch living, raising buffalo, horses and other farm animals. He was never as happy as when he was sharing his love of the ranch with his family and friends.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Bennett Creek Church, Road 1AB, in Clark. Viewing will take place at the church between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Pastor Kurt McNabb will officiate.
Immediately following burial at Bennett Buttes Cemetery all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held at Fellowship Hall adjacent to the church.
