(April 11, 1992 - Sept. 3, 2017)

Jared Gordon Lydic, much loved son, grandson, brother, husband, dad, friend, and lover of the outdoors, died on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017. He was 25 years old.

Jared was born in Howard County, Maryland, on April 11, 1992, to Brent and Leann Lydic. He was energetic, adventurous and imaginative. He loved playing rough with his dad, “riverstomping” with G’pa, backpacking, fishing and camping.

He was so excited when each of his siblings came along and loved each of them immensely. He couldn’t wait for Micah to get big enough to play with. He was so tender and sweet to his sister, Karisa, and he loved teaching his little brother, Jacob, new things. He could often be found climbing trees, playing at the pond, reading, thinking or spending the night in his hammock.

Jared’s love for God showed up most obviously in his kindness and sensitivity to those in need. He had an intense eagerness to lend a hand, fix something for someone, or just be a friend in tough times.

After moving to Wyoming, Jared met and married Alyssa Bentley, the love of his life. A few years later, he became the happy father of Layla Grace and then Lily Elaine, both such joys to his life.

Handy in every way, he enjoyed his career as an electrician with Electrical Ally.

Jared is survived by his wife and two daughters; his parents; three siblings; two sets of grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Clark Recreation Center on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 4 p.m. All are welcome. The family requests that donations be made to a memorial fund for Jared through Big Horn Federal.
