Roseann Stroh Warren, 78, died June 15, 2017, in the West Park Hospital Longterm Care Center in Cody.
Roseann was born June 27, 1938, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the only child of Emil and Emma Stroh. After graduating from Scottsbluff High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northern Colorado College and taught for several years in Nebraska and Colorado.
In 1964 Roseann met Gordon Warren and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married in Fort Collins, Colorado, on May 29, 1965, and were sealed in the Logan Temple a year later.
Gordon’s career took them to Minnesota, Montana, Louisiana, Wyoming and Arizona. During that time they had two children, Royd and Timothy. In 1991 they came to Cody where Gordon worked for the U.S. Forest Service.
Roseann loved teaching, gardening, genealogy, reading and animals. She was an avid knitter and crocheter and reveled in making everything from Christmas stockings to sweaters, gloves and rugs for family members and others. She once developed her own business called Knitting Kit Favorites for which she designed unique knitting patterns and sold them, along with yarn, as kits.
Roseann served in numerous callings for her church including primary teacher, primary president, genealogist, relief society counselor, compassionate service leader and in the young women’s program. She served as an ordinance worker in the Billings, Montana, Temple for 15 years. One of her great joys was doing things for her 15 grandchildren and watching them grow.
Roseann is survived by her husband, Gordon, of 52 years; sons Royd (Suzann), Timothy (Danielle); 15 grandchildren and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 1407 Heart Mountain Street, at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m.
