Dave Pollock of Powell, 55, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Cheyenne.

He was born Sept. 30, 1961, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, to Manley Caryll and Phyllis Joan (Simmerman) Pollock.

Dave graduated from Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho, in 1979. He worked in the automobile industry his entire adult life. In 1996, Dave was hired by Garvin Motors in Powell as service manager and remained there until his death, receiving many Service in Excellence awards.

Dave was an active bowler and spent many hours at the Super Bowl bowling alley in Cody, where he would greet his friends with a “hi ya” and a hug. He was the president of the Cody Bowling Association for over 20 years, a coach for the Cody Youth Association for six years, bowled in the Open High Five Tournament for over 10 years, the Senior High Five Tournament for over five years and was on the team that won the High Five tournament in 2014. He was also involved with numerous city tournaments and state tournaments and was the director for most adult and youth tournaments.  

Dave’s other hobbies included driving and racing his Mustang, camping and spending time with his family and friends, including his two German Shepherds Kenji and Kali.

Dave is survived by his brother Jim of Chubbuck, Idaho; niece Courtney Green, great-niece Sydney and great-nephews Skylar and Kaydan and a host of friends who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 23, at the Super Bowl in Cody with donations going to the Cody Youth Bowling Association.
