Melvin Stephen Torczon, 73, of Cody, died at West Park Hospital on March 13, 2017.

Melvin was born on Nov. 4, 1943, in Laurel, Montana, to Steve and Agnes Torczon.

He grew up in Clark, on a farm/ranch. He and the family moved to Cody in 1963. He served in the National Guard in the mid 60s. Melvin lived life to the fullest and always had a huge smile.

He spent his life farming at the family ranch and helping at neighboring ranches. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his horse, fishing and taking care of his cows.

Melvin is survived by his sisters Linda Torczon and Edna Torczon, brother Dave Torczon (Sandy), all of Cody; four nephews  Mike Torczon (Tammy) of Cody, Clint Torczon (Rhonda) of Huntley, Montana, Jeff Torczon (Amy) and Greg Torczon all from Cody; 10 great nieces and nephews and a lot of extended family as well.

He will be missed by many.

Rosary services will be held on Friday, March 17, at 6 p.m. at the Church of St. Anthony in Cody. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18.
