Guadalupe “Lupe” Cervantes, 58, died in his sleep in the late hours of Sept. 14, 2016, passing from the hands of his daughters Laura Thormahlen (née Cervantes) and Lillianna Cervantes. He died at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lupe was born March 29, 1958, to Abundio and Maria Concepcion Cervantes. He attended Mission High School in his youth. He later lived in Powell.
On July 30, 1983, he married his wife Enedina. Together they had been blessed with two daughters, Laura Thormahlen and Lillianna Cervantes, and one granddaughter, Isabelle Thormahlen.
Lupe was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, a favorite uncle and a friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Reyes Cervantes, his sisters Virginia Perez and Maria Antonia Cervantes, his nephew Jesse Cervantes, and son-in-law Jeremy Thormahlen.
According to his wishes, no services will be held. The Cervantes family instead asks that those who loved Lupe continue to honor him and keep him in their thoughts.
