Darlene Kay Blacklidge, of Meeteetse, died peacefully in her sleep Aug. 27, 2016, while at home.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Floyd and Dorothy Ackett.
She enjoyed collecting brass of all sorts, black and white pictures of art and anything gitchy.
Her pastime interests or activities included watching movies, reading books and creative writing, which she excelled at.
She will always be remembered for her nurturing and endless love and devotion especially by her loved ones, her hilarious sense of humor and companionship.
She is survived by former husband and caretaker Keith Blacklidge; son William J. Peeler; daughters Amy J. Napier and Alicia M. Dunn; grandchildren Aundrea Jeanne Reese and Jordin K. Richey; great-grandchild Shane Richey; and pets Annie, Sweetie, Tiger, Lily, Spikey and Dixie Lee.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family.
Ballard Funeral Home has handled the cremation services.
