Judy Phillips died Sept. 16, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 76.

Judy was born Dec. 31, 1939, at the family homestead in Deaver.

She was the youngest child of John and MayBelle Wagner. Judy graduated Deaver High School in 1958.

She married Henry Lynne Phillips and they enjoyed 58 years together.

Judy worked various jobs, and she retired at the age of 72 from her favorite job at the Office Shop in Cowley, her “other family.”

Judy enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, spending time with her family and her pets Taz and Hammer, and she loved her home. She said her family was her greatest gift from God.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and MayBelle, her siblings, Jeana Ernest, Peggy Hartman and Dick Wagner.

She is survived by her husband Henry; daughters Tammy Hansen of Deaver and Lynne Phillips of Salem, Oregon; son Todd (Cindy) Phillips of Deaver; granddaughter Cassie (Todd) Bockorny of Brandon, South Dakota, and grandson Tyler (Chelsie) Phillips and great-granddaughter Lily and great-grandson Bradly of Deaver.

Judy also leaves behind her caregivers Kristin Short, Allison Webber and Terry Herlitz, whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be on Sept. 24, at 10 a.m. at the Deaver Methodist Church with a meal directly following at the Deaver Town Hall.

In honor of Judy’s love of dogs, memorial donations can be made to the Park County Animal Shelter.
