Jay Sump, a 20-year resident of Byron, died on June 22, 2016, in Billings after a short battle with cancer. He was 53.
Jay loved to hunt, camp and fish. He had time to talk to anyone and he had a great sense of humor.
He was the Byron garbage man for nearly 20 years. Jay will be missed by many residents who loved to chat.
He is survived by his wife Shannon; children Brandie Sump, Michael Sump and Amanda Peters and her husband Matt; as well as his sisters, brother and a large extended family.
There will be a remembrance get-together at Jay’s home in Byron for all his friends and family. If you plan to attend, it will be a potluck on Saturday, July 2, at 1 p.m.
