Thelma Arlene Kost, 84, was born in Greybull on Jan. 13, 1932. She died on June 14, 2016. Thelma was the proud mother of Reynolds J. (R. J.) Kost (Caroline), Elizabeth A. (Beth) Hink (Thomas), Judith D. (Diane) Watkins (Paul), and Rebecca (Becky) L. Holland (Michael). She had seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

Thelma treasured family, relatives and friends. After 25 years, Thelma retired as Vice President of First Interstate Bank in Greybull. Following her move to Powell, she proudly served as an election judge and a volunteer with the Powell Valley Health Care Auxiliary. She had an unwavering faith in God and was an active member of First Southern Baptist Church in Powell.

Thelma enjoyed the outdoors, camping with family and friends, and gardening. Her artistic and creative talents were shared with many who enjoyed the fruits of her labor (oil painting, doll making, needlework, and jelly production). She was an excellent cook, homemaker and had a green thumb that was envied by many. She loved football and cheered on the Miami Dolphins regardless of their record.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Reynolds, mother Christina and father John C. Snyder, sister Francis Hopkin and her husband Johnny, and son-in-law Michael Brown. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 21 Hwy 30, Basin.

Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be sent to the family at www.thompsonfuneral.net or P.O. Box 807, Powell, WY 82435.
