Irene Ellen Pearson, 93, of Cody, died at West Park Hospital on June 1, 2016.
Irene was born on May 17, 1923, to Frank and Mary Schneider in Gillette. She attended school in Gillette until age 15, when she moved to Cody to live with her older sister Hazel, and she finished high school in Cody.
She married Harold Edward Pearson on Aug. 7, 1943. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1993.
Harold and Irene resided in Cody their entire married life and Irene remained at their family home until just 10 days before her death.
They had two children, Kimberly Ann and Roger Frank, who both graduated from Cody High School.
Irene is survived by one of her six sisters, Helen Williams of Gillette; daughter Kim Berett (Lonnie) and granddaughter Lisa Jones (Ryan), great-granddaughter Kara Jones; granddaughter Kristina Stenberg (Layne) and great-grandson Eli and great-granddaughter Emily; son Roger (Leota) and granddaughters Marissa, Brianna and Kailey.
The family asks that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cody, 2025 23rd St., Cody, WY, 82414.
Funeral services will be at Ballard Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10. Visitation with the family will be held the hour prior.
