Sandra Jean Klindt, 67, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Northeast Medical Center in Humble, Texas after a long battle with COPD.

Sandy was born on September 22, 1948, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, to Alexander and Gloria (Boyer) Van Dell.  After her father passed when she was five years old, her mother married Harold Weeks. Sandy and her brother, Richard Van Dell, were raised in Ten Sleep and Basin, Wyoming. Harold Weeks was a government trapper and the family enjoyed summers on the Big Horn Mountains with Harold. 

After graduating from Basin High School in 1967, Sandy married Jerry Franzen. Together they had three children, Richard, Rusty, and Shanda. They divorced in 1979. 

Sandy then moved to Powell, Wyoming, where she worked at Lynn’s Quick Stop, and she met Scott Klindt. They married May 30, 1981. They had three children, Effie, Amel, and Callie. After Scott went to work for Continental Airlines, they moved to Massachusetts, Colorado, and then finally settling in Spring, Texas. 

Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an accomplished seamstress with a passion for quilting. She won multiple Blue Ribbons at the Park County Fair for her sewing endeavors. She enjoyed camping with her husband and children. Sandy was a generous soul, always taking in those who needed help or someone to confide in. She was also known for never giving up, and she would not let anyone get in her way.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Gloria and Harold Weeks and brother Richard Van Dell.

Sandy is survived by her husband Scott Klindt; children Richard Franzen of Rock Springs, Rusty Franzen of Spring, Texas, Shanda (Glenn) McElveen of Spring, Texas, Effie (Dominick) Mancuso of Tomball, Texas, Amel Klindt of Hammond, Louisiana, Callie (Kanon) Adamek of Spring, Texas.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Cremation is taking place and no services are planned. Condolences may be sent to the family at 2519 Marble Falls Dr., Spring, Texas 77373.
