Jeanette Sump died May 12, 2016, at her home in Byron at the age of 78.
She was born on April 12, 1938, to Dan and Anita Heimer in Powell.
Jeanette married Ron Sump on June 11, 1961, in Powell. She was retired from her longtime job as a CNA, where she had worked in all of Powell’s nursing homes over the years.
She enjoyed reading crime thrillers and mystery novels and watching them on TV. She loved spending time with her family. Jeanette played in a pinochle card club for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her mother and father; one great-grandchild; and brother-in-law William Berryman.
Jeanette is survived by her four children, Linda (Jerry) Spomer of Powell, Jay (Shannon) Sump of Byron, Leslie Suko of Byron and Steve (Lynn) Sump of Waynesboro, Virginia; two sisters, Charlotte Berryman of Ralston and Jo Ann Heimer of Powell; one brother, Dan Heimer Jr. of Powell. She also is survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Per her wishes, no memorial service is planned. Memorials in her name can be sent to Caring for Powell Animals, P.O. Box 504, Powell, WY, 82435.
