Linda K. Franzen, 72, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin. She was a longtime resident of Powell. She also resided in Worland and Basin during her life.

She was born in Worland on Jan. 5, 1944, to Paul and Vesta Voss of Manderson. Linda was the first of four children. She was raised on the family farm south of Manderson and attended grades 1 through 12 at Manderson.

Linda married Howard E. Franzen on June 16, 1962, in Manderson.

Linda loved being in the mountains and camping with her husband, family and friends. She loved spending time with her siblings, her three nieces, one nephew, four great-nieces and five great-nephews.

Linda loved the Lord and was a loyal Christian. She was a very talented person, being able to fix just about anything. She was a talented seamstress, making shirts, coats, seat covers, or just about anything someone needed. She did mending and alterations for Funke’s Cleaners in Powell for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2007, and her husband in 2013.

Linda is survived by her mother, Vesta Voss of Basin; brother, Rolland (Cindy) Voss of Worland; sister, Paula Lewis of Sun City, Arizona; sister, Trinna Voss of Powell; niece, Colleen (Terry) Franklin of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; nephew, Brian (Stephanie) Voss of Worland; niece Rhonda (Wyatt) Molzahn of Worland; niece, Terrie (Jeff) Yule of Worland; four great- nieces; and five great-nephews.

Linda will be laid to rest at Mount View Cemetery at Basin. Services are pending.

Atwood Family Funeral Directors assisted the family with the arrangements.
