Kenneth Rodrick Lowe passed away a year ago, on March 15, 2015, in Powell. He was 71.

Kenny was born April 30, 1943, in Carr, Colorado, to William Thomas and Elizabeth Lowe. The house he was born in was on the state line between Wyoming and Colorado. Kenny was born in the half of the house located in Colorado. His father worked as a coal miner, welder, electrician and plumber. He joined brothers Robert Lowe and William Thomas Lowe, Jr.

When Kenny was 9 years old, the family moved to Cheyenne, and he attended school there, graduating from high school in Cheyenne. At age 21, Kenny entered the Navy, and served on the USS O’Brien and in Vietnam. While on leave, he married Edith Yawn from Greybull, and to this union were born three children: Kenneth Jr., Leslie and Jennifer.

Kenny and Edith divorced in the 1980s, and Kenny married Mary Zierke in 1987. They were married for 28 years. Kenny worked in construction and welding, and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and his dogs. He had a wonderful talent for fixing almost anything.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife Mary; his two sons, Kenneth Lowe Jr. and Les Lowe; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Jennifer Lowe Dooley.
