Theodore J. Feeley, 67, died at his home on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.

He was born in Cody on Nov. 9, 1948, the youngest of three sons born to Marie and William J. Feeley.

In high school, Ted excelled in basketball and earned a full-ride scholarship to the University of Wyoming until leg injuries ended his career.

After living in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Ted returned to Cody and the family business, Feeley Brothers Redi-Mix Company.

Shortly thereafter, he married Sheryl Highland and they had two daughters, Mandi and Wendi.

After settling down, he began to pursue his lifelong dream of being an artist. Ted’s artwork captured his love of the West. He participated in various art shows, winning numerous awards for his oils and wildlife bronzes.

His paintings were twice featured on the cover of “Western Horseman” and his sage grouse painting of “Wyoming Daybreak,” was chosen for the 1987 Wyoming Conservation Stamp.

In 1992 he married Lynn Clark and with her encouragement and support, he opened “Skullman Studio Gallery.”

Ted’s other passions included fly fishing, camping, golfing, arrowhead hunting and pack trips. He was also proud to be a member of Cody’s Volunteer Fire Department and fought the Yellowstone fires of 1988.

Ted will be remembered for his sense of humor, strength of character, and being a loving friend, husband, father and grandfather.

Ted is survived by his wife Lynn; daughters Mandi (Chris) Larson and Wendi (Chad) Glick; brothers Bill (Joyce) Feeley and John (Pam) Feeley; grandchildren Tasen, Sonny, Ashlyn, Oryn, Shaiden and Brayli; nieces Tiffany Jackson and Heather Feeley.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Hansen Murray; and nephew Cortney Feeley.

Per Ted’s request, there will be no formal service, but a celebration of his life was held Jan. 24, at the Olive Glenn Country Club. Visit www.thetreesremember.com to have a tree planted in Ted’s memory in a National Forest.

Memorial cards can be sent to Mandi Larson, 1722 Bill Nye Ave., Laramie, WY 82070.
