Holly Highland, 63, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at her home in Billings.

The youngest of four siblings, Holly was raised by her parents, Arlyne and Arthur Highland, in Cody.

Holly recalled her childhood fondly, sharing cherished memories of her parents’ A&B Drive-In restaurant (later renamed Bud’s Drive-In) and her father’s guide and outfitting business. In high school, she particularly enjoyed cheerleading and choir.

After marrying her former husband, Jeff Borron, the family moved many times across the country, before settling in Billings, where Holly raised her son and dedicated her life to ensuring his wellbeing.

She worked several years in various positions for the city of Billings. She was known for her work ethic, charm and quick smile.

Holly is remembered as friendly, energetic and fun-loving by her family and friends.

Holly loved animals, and most especially cats. Her neighbors lovingly referred to her as the “Cat Mom,” and she frequently volunteered at the Billings Animal Shelter.

Holly was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia DeRoche.

She is survived by her son, Matt (Jasmine) Borron; brother Arthur (Meg) Highland; sister Sheryl Feeley (Spence Benoit); and grandson-to-be, Cody Brooks Borron.

Cremation has taken place and an informal memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Ballard Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to the family at matt.borron@gmail.com.
