John E. Blake IV, 64, of Cody, died at home on Aug. 25, 2015, after a long battle with cancer.
John was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1951. He married Gretchen Cooper in Whittiier, Alaska, in 1977.
John loved his family and the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and photographer which he passed on to his children.
His profession was a chef which he excelled at and loved to cook for family and friends.
John impacted many people with his larger than life presence.
His family is assured where he is at and know they will see him again.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Blake III, and his mother Evelyn Maud.
He is survived by wife Gretchen; sons Dan and his wife Aubrey and their children Jillian and Pryor; son Cody Blake and daughter Ellie; sister Jan Sabellico, her husband Steve; niece Robin DiGiovanni her husband Matt their daughters Anna and Lea; nephew Steve and his wife Jen.
Memorial contributions can be made to Spirit Mountain Hospice, 1021 9th St., Cody, WY, 82414.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
