Adam Scott Kysar

At the age of 26, Adam Scott Kysar has received a job proposal he couldn’t refuse. He accepted the position of guardian angel on July 14, 2015, in Billings, actuated by a pulmonary embolism.

Born in Powell, in 1989 to Adam “Scott” Myers, presently of Burlington, North Dakota and Bobbi Myers of Sedro-Wooley, Washington, Adam is survived by his parents, his sister Kayla Myers also of Sedro-Wooley, his sister Peggy Myers and well-loved niece Jean DeHaan of Bozeman, Montana, his brother Stephen Myers of Thermopolis, and his grandmother Lola Myers of Ralston. Additionally, Adam assembled a steadfast bonus-family: parents, Robyn Stoner of Burlington, North Dakota, Pat and Rose Wolf of Columbus, Montana, John and Rae Ann Mall of Billings, and brothers Kyle Wolf of Sheridan, Montana, Chad Mall, Ryan Clark and Eric Hefner, all of Billings, Montana. Adam’s imprint on the life of his girlfriend, Heather Grieco of Billings, Montana, will forever remain.

In 2012, Adam was proud to have graduated with honors from Northwest College in Powell, with his father; they walked the stage together as Adam received his degree in welding technology. Following school, Adam relocated to Billings, where he was employed by Denny Menholt as a technician. Considered an asset to his company, Adam did what he loved, and loved what he did. His passion for motor sports and skill with a torch inspired many hobby projects, from his father’s NFL weather vane and his mother’s iron rose, to the homemade buggy he was famous for driving around the streets of Wyoming and Montana.

Adam conquered life’s challenges with contemplation and perseverance, shedding the negative and embracing everything positive. He chose his life with intention and there is no greater testament to “success” than the relationships he forged and surrounded himself with. When Adam left this world, he knew what it felt like to have it ALL. He felt the love and friendship of his parents and he felt the deep pride he brought to them. Adam knew the loyalty, solidarity and love of brotherhood. And he felt the unselfish, strong, whole-hearted, love of a woman. Over his lifetime, Adam amassed a collection of family and friends which evolved into both his foundation and liberation; his parents would like to thank this eclectic collection for their amazing support; Adam will live on in all of you.

We will remember Adam’s smile and his laugh, his love of life, friends and family, and his ability to make us feel loved. As a self-proclaimed “fly by the seat of my pants guy,” Adam loved an adventure and he was up for anything. His independence was exceeded only by his strong will. He was

HONEST. He was genuine. He loved “real,” and avoided drama at all costs. He was kind, appreciative, giving, gracious and gentle, with a tremendous capacity to listen and understand. There was a wisdom about him.

He was accepting of eccentricities and quirks. He never missed a Father’s Day, Mother’s Day or birthday of those he loved. And his conversations always included a sincere, “How are you?” Adam was a blessing as a son, an admired brother, a favorite uncle and a cherished friend.

Everyone is asked to celebrate Adam’s life and not mourn his death. For those who wish to honor him, a fund has been established for The Adam Kysar Memorial Welding Scholarship at Northwest College; Adam will live on helping others. Visit AdamKysar.org for information.

In life, Adam Kysar worked hard and played hard. In death, he will have his hands full watching over those he loved; they also work hard and play hard! We will indulge in sushi, sandwich wraps, Swiss Cake Rolls, Oreos and Reese’s to be closer to him and we will smile with every bite. We will camp, snowboard, golf, fish, boat and swim, and wish with all we have that he was with us.

Surely Adam’s surroundings now include laughter, music, love… and pizza. Adam, you are not gone because love doesn’t die, and we love you up to the heavens and back! Now, “Hold my beer and watch THIS…”
