Peggy Joyce Nalley of Deaver died Monday, June 8, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana. She was 81.

Peggy was born Dec. 2, 1933, in Rossville, Georgia, the seventh of eight children born to Ellen Alora and Henry Spenser Hatfield.

Peggy was married Oct. 9, 1954, to James Albert Kelly. They were active together at the Chickamauga Church of Christ in Georgia. They raised their three children in Georgia. They enjoyed traveling in their retirement years. They were happily married for 49 years until his death Jan. 31, 2004.

Peggy married James Edwin Nalley on Dec. 14, 2004. Peggy was immediately accepted into Jim’s family of five children, David, Glenn, Alan, and Ivan Nalley and Amber Hanson. They had great fun together and traveled the country in their motor home.

Peggy was an active member of the Cody Church of Christ. She taught ladies Bible classes, helped organized church events, and particularly loved greeting visitors and taking them out for a meal after the Sunday morning worship service. Peggy loved music and singing her whole life. She sang every chance she got at church and with the Yellowstone Harmony Chorus.

Peggy is survived by her spouse, James Edwin Nalley; brother, James Howard Hatfield; daughter, Cynthia Diane Kelly and her children, Alora Louise Stegall and Claire Elyse Wilkerson; son, James Albert Kelly and his children, Amanda Gale Kelly Lee, Maranda Kelly and James Albert Kelly; daughter, Joyce Delita Kelly and her children, Lydia Ruth and Natalie Ryane Brewer; great-grandchildren, Blaise Hendrix Wiley Epperson, Breckin Jose DeLaMora, Brezsea Wehunt, Brytnee Wright, Christopher Wehunt, Zachary Kelly, Xavier Dunnington, Xzander Dunnington, Xane Dunnington, Kaley Shaniya Kelly and Riley Chase Brewer.

Peggy was preceded in death by her spouse, James Albert Kelly; and siblings, Louise, William Arville, Henry Spencer, Jr., Gladys Nioma, Bobby Gene, and Betty Kate.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, at 4 p.m. at the Cody Church of Christ.

Burial will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
