William “Orval” Varey, of Powell, died Monday, March 9, 2015. He was 87.
Orval was born July 6, 1927, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Alice Norma Bailey and Joseph William Varey. He married Barbara Williams in Billings, Mont., on May 12, 2006.
In his younger years, Orval enjoyed working with computers. He was a truck driver, and after retirement he loved to watch John Wayne movies and read Western novels. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Orval was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and her children and grandchildren; Orval’s children: Lynn, Mike, Mary, Nephi, Joy, Jared, Connie, Garth, Adam and Karen (Tony) Scholemar and their children Khrystine (Matthew) Sampson, and Braedon and Garrett Scholemar.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Thompson Funeral Home.
