Seth Byron Drew of Dumas, Texas, died on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015. He was 22.

Seth was born on June 22, 1992, to Andy Drew and Leslie Shaw in Wheatland. He graduated from Dumas High School, where he was a member of the high school band. Seth played the trumpet and attended the national band finals in Hawaii. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army as member of the 1st Calvary Unit, where he was a scout.

Seth was a recipient of the following: Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon and NATO Medal.

Seth enjoyed kickboxing, watching MMA fighting and playing music on his electric guitar as well as the acoustic at the church.

He was known as always being the first one there if someone needed help. Seth was a loving son, uncle, brother, nephew and grandson. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Kathryn Kay Shaw.

Seth is survived by his parents Charles and Leslie Jinkins of Dumas; brother Michael (Terra) Jinkins of Borger, Texas; two sisters Brandy (Reese) Blackfox of Tulsa and Kayla Drew of Fort Carson, Colo.; grandparents Shanty and Margot Jinkins of Dumas, Andy and Marilyn Drew of Powell, and Orville and Kathy Brando of South Dakota, Kathy Drew and John Anderson of Nebraska; biological father Andy (Tammy) Drew of Nebraska; five uncles Emory (Terri) Jinkins, Shanty (Babette) Jinkins II and Gerhardt (Niki) Jinkins, all of Dumas, and Dwaine (Teresa) Shaw of Colorado, Ed (Shelley) Drew of Wyoming; three aunts Yvette Fuerstenburger of Wyoming and Tina (Josh) Ochs of Colorado, Susan (Justin) Vaugh of Nebraska; niece Lizzy Jinkins and nephews Jaxon and Casey Jinkins; and numerous cousins.

A funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 23, at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
