David Jesse Harvey, 64, of Rock Springs, died on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1950, in Powell, the son of the late Jesse and Jacque Harvey.
David attended school in Powell and graduated in 1968 from Powell High School.
He married Carol Anderson in Cowley on Sept. 12, 1969.
David was employed at Knight Oil Company as the district manager and retired on July 25.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His interests included fishing, hunting, woodworking, golfing and telling jokes. David loved spending time with his family and playing tennis with his grandson Jesse.
He is survived by his wife Carol Harvey of Rock Springs; two sons Flint Harvey (Coleen) of Cody and Heath Harvey (Lindsey) of Heber City, Utah; one daughter Heather Cordova (Isaac) of Casper; one brother Terry Harvey (Kimerie) of Billings; two sisters Kay Hovey of Basin and Judy McDonald of Powell; four grandchildren, Jesse, Kalea, McKenzie, and Morgan; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at the L.D.S. Chapel, 525 West Seventh St. in Powell.
Graveside services and inurnment will be in the Powell Cemetery.
