Robert Eugene Morgan, 88, of Cody, died at West Park Hospital Long Term Care Center in Cody on June 1, 2014.

Bob was the only child of W.D. and True Walton Morgan, born on Oct. 23, 1925, in Coffeyville, Kan. He was raised by his stepmother, Thelma Peters Morgan.

Bob began his career in the oil business after two years in the Air Force. He married Eleanor Mason of Evansville, Ill., in 1946, and they were married until her death in 1979. They had twin girls, Jean and Jane in 1950, and moved to Casper. They ultimately moved to Cody, where he would live the rest of his life with Thea “Lee” (Dunn) Morgan, who he married in 1981.

Bob, also know as “R.E.,” loved Wyoming. He and Lee enjoyed many years traveling, with annual visits to their winter condo on Mustang Island, Texas.

They always enjoyed their weekly evenings at the Eagles and the Elks Club. He was a past exalted ruler at the Elks, an earlier member of the Masons, and spent two years as commodore of the Boat Club, which was one of his favorite pastimes after retiring.

Bob was a kind, gentle man who was loved and respected by so many. He was 88 and proud of it!

He is survived by his daughters Jean Morgan of Portland, Ore., and Jane Morgan of Houston, Texas; and loving partner of more than 30 years, Lee Morgan; daughter Kim Dunn; and sons Kevin and Mike Dunn.

A private service will be held for the family. Cremation services are being handled through Ballard Funeral Home.
