Joanne Irene Davison

Joanne Davison of Powell died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the age of 78.

Joanne was born June 5, 1935, to Mildred and Roy Rainwater. She married Duane Davison in Powell.

Joanne was a vivacious person who lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel and explore. She enjoyed and saved all her birthday and Mother’s Day cards and did scrapbooking. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed canning and preserving food. Joanne had a sense of family and greatly loved all her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Roy Rainwater, brother Dewey Rainwater, and granddaughter Breanna Daly.

She is survived by her spouse Duane Davison of Powell; sons Steven J. Olsen of Chesterfield, Va., Stanley P. Olsen of Whitehall, Mont., Scott Odell Olsen of Powell; daughters Lorinda Kaye Cologne of Boulder, Mont., Leanne Marie Facer of Hopewell, Va ; brothers Harvey Rainwater of Nogales, Mexico, and sister Ethel Davison of Illinois.

Joanne had 17 grandchildren: Tonya Olsen Parker, Charmalee Olsen, Steve Olsen Jr., Lakota Ginn, Cheyenne Olsen, Anthony Colon, Melissa Colon, Brenda Olsen Cook, Kyle McClure, Breanna Daly, Andrea White, Jarod White, Heather Waymire, Jessica Waymire, Shantel Dees, Paul Facer Jr., Rachelle Facer, and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Living Hope Community Church in Powell on Saturday, May 24.

Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and condolences may be sent to the family at or P.O. Box 807, Powell, WY 82435.
