Authorities are investigating the death of a Powell woman at a home on Lane 11, south of town.
Park County Sheriff Scott Steward said his office has a "person of interest" in custody and personnel from the Wyoming State Crime Lab have been summoned to process the scene. Records posted on the Sheriff's Office website indicate someone placed an emergency call at 4:47 a.m. Saturday and reported finding a body.
"At this point in time, it's still under investigation," Steward said Saturday evening. "We don't know what we have."
He did say there is no risk to the public.
Steward said his office would release more information when it's available.
